Coverage in Bangladesh

B1 (2100 MHz) is the primary 4G band nationwide; B8 (900 MHz) provides wider rural coverage. 5G launched in December 2021 and remains limited to parts of Dhaka and a few major cities. Teletalk's network is state-owned and has the smallest coverage footprint. No 2G/3G-only operators remain; all four operators run nationwide 4G.

Band B1 is the primary 4G band nationwide. Without it, you may have difficulty connecting to 4G in many areas. However, all four operators also use band B8 (900 MHz) for wider rural coverage, so a phone supporting B8 may still work in rural zones, but not reliably everywhere.

5G was launched in December 2021 and is limited to parts of Dhaka and a few major cities. Your eSIM will connect to 5G (n78) if you are in those areas and your phone supports that band. Outside those zones, you will fall back to 4G.
